In a region, Electric field is a defined as:

\vec{E} = \frac{x \hat{i} + y \hat{j}}{x^2 + y^2}
Find the total charge enclosed within a sphere of radius 'a' with its centre at the origin.

Also try to generalize it for a sphere of the type (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = a^2

use diffrential form of gauss's law
\vec{\nabla.E} = \frac{\rho}{\epsilon_{0}}

Dunno. I saw it somewhere, while cleaning my books.

Anybody wanna post the final answer?
